Don't Stop Believin'...Divine Line-Up #1005

Hi, Fellow Love Children!!!!!

As promised, I wanted to show you a grahoovin' "GET BACK" experience I had when I went home to close up my place.  A good friend of mine picked me up one sunny day around noon, and told me that a surprise was in store!!!!! She is one of my dedicated blog followers of this "Get Back" adventure.  I love surprises so I happily jumped in her brand new shiny red car and she took me to a place I never even dreamed existed!!! Right there in my small little town that I grew up in....!  Well, what she turned me onto was EVERY hippie chic, tree huggin',  girls dream!!!!!!! A TREE HOUSE!  Ahhhhhhh...She had her bag full of fresh, healthy food and lunch was being served to me, in a most groovin' of groovin' tree houses !!! We climbed up into the tree house and opened the windows and made our magic mark on the wall..!! It was quite a moment for me to sit there in the town that I grew up in just blocks away from where I brought my only son home from the hospital... some 37 years ago, eating salad in a tree house with one of the most creative woman I know! Whew! Long sentence! Whoa! Now to top it off .......blow me away just a bit more...the man that owns the tree house threw a very long extension cord in the  bucket below and told Angie to heist it up so we could listen to some tunes, while we ate! Guess what song came on....So apropos for this journey of mine, to get back to freedom, peace, happiness, joy and a reinvention of myself and a true GET BACK song!!!...Here it is...and it is by Journey!!!!

It was definitely a magical drop down from "The Get Back Powers that Be!"  I never could have thought up something as Magical and Divine as thisll!  

So here you go - This is the Tree house!

So there you go! What a day it was and "Thank You Girlfriend" for giving me this "Get Back" experience..!  What is amazing and wonderful to me ....is that we are really like that tree...we start out small and sparse, yet in time, if given love, water, sunshine and an environment that supports our growth, we can become a beautiful, powerful presence.! All those elements make us what we are and if we missed any of those along the way, well, it is up to us to give it back to ourselves.. Get into your own divine line-up (s)...by getting back to what you love my friends !  The magic bus will move in and take you away...OR BACK! Whatever the case may be!!! So for now, I leave my hometown and I " get back" to a place I loved and moved to with that NEW son, who was almost two in 1976, some 35 years ago.PORTLAND, OREGON..Yes, We lived in a commune for awhile..one with a spiritual bend...Truly an environment that nourished and fed my soul. ..full of trees, water, sunshine, mountains and well people that were genuine and furthered a calling, I feel. So now that I have all the art supplies boxed and ready to ship... I will get on that big jet-aira-liner and head my ass back to Oregon and begin to work on my new creation-station...and GET BACK to WHAT I LOVE- MAKING ART, WRITING and PHOT0GRAPHY!!!! Getting Back to " The Tuck".....

HI HIPPY HIPSTER FRIENDS...

YEP, BACK TO BLOGGING!~Finally! What a busy, busy time I have had running around the country~! Craziness!

So now that I have made my space in Portland..cozy and comfy,( I will be on the AFTER pic's SOON )... I decided it was time to "GET BACK" to my pad in "The Tuck" and close it up for good. It has served it's purpose and I am ready to sink both feet into my Oregon life.

Today I wake up and and look at all that is around me…

 and I realize

I HAVE A LOT TO DO.

I  started to pull out everything in the nooks and crannys...

 Soooo much art and design stuff ( this doesn't even touch 1/3 of it!) and I am wondering if I should just pitch it!!...feeling a bit overwhelmed. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I asked my dog, Rubes if she could pitch me a hand and as you can see...

Not one paw was shown to me, let alone a look of compassion...
so I think I will just listen to this Beatles tune.

I am sure that once Tammy gets here we will be able to come up with a plan of attack and I will be able to make some sense of this mess!


 Well Tammy has left and take a look at what we did!~ Thanks Tammy and all my hippy- hipster friends that helped me pull this off!!!!!

GETTING BACK TO PORTLAND...

Made it to Portland two days ago....checked myself into - Yep, you guesster! America's Best Inn and Suites! The rates, as I told you before, are lovely. Here they are like a full apartment, living room, kitchen, bedroom....for as little as $60. On - line you can get them for about $40! Wow, the salesman in me is making it's appearance known already and it isn't even six in the morning. Ahhhh whatever! I move out of here today, as I scored a great pad to live in! I will be sharing a house with a couple. I feel really good about this situation and it is one block from my all-time favorite strip of shops, restaurants and other business. It is in the exact location that I wanted to be in! Grahoooovin!!!!! I will give you a sneak peek at my space. It is a two room suite (sweet) situation with my own bathroom, on the downstairs level. My new friends live on the upper floor...I FEEL it is going to be a great place to hang my hippie hat for the time being.....which by the way I found one at a very cool consignment  store in Weed, California on my way up! Ride On!

So you see....I was telling you about my feelings in my January 8th blog that I was not feeling the vibe every time I would go on Craigslist to look for a place. Well now I know why! I had a strong pull to look on Craigslist when I was in Laguna Beach, at my friends house Phil and Judy's this past Monday...so I did and followed the feeling!!!


Soooo the New Pad is in gear....
Been about a year in the making and now it is finally happening!
The great thing about this place and the synchronicity that I found the minute I walked into the space. 
When I was in Phoenix, I went shopping with my friends, Pam, Cam, and Trish.
I found the most awesome pillows!!!!!
It was then that I decided I would make my space in Portland reflect the vibe of the pillows,
I bought the pillows, a tassel, some beaded bracelets ( 5 ) ( even though I did not know what I was going to use these for... ) and I went so far as to get myself some QUEEN brown sheets, a LIME GREEN furry hipster blanket and 3 lantern type deals that I envisioned hanging from a chain from the ceiling with candles in them for the ambiance I desired while meditating...So anyway, I am unpacking my stuff and I realize a PERFECT MATCH energetically. The Bed is a Queen. The Sofa is LIME green. All the colors co-ordinate and the place is fully furnished.....which is what I need since I came with only my stuff,,,no furniture!
WOW!!! I was psyching into the space before I even got there!
We all can do this...JUST LET GO AND ALLOW...
Follow what gives you Passion.

So now I best be getting off of here and packing up the rest of my stuff and taking the last bit of my things to the new pad and heading the Mothership to Tacoma to make a buck.

Can't wait to share with you all the DIVINE LINE-UPS that are ahead.

Will be so nice to be planted and work out of my new space.

7400 Miles and Counting...

The Get Back Experiment has now traveled 7400 miles since November 15th, 2010. Another 600 to go and I will arrive into my new life in Portland....Curious- so very curious what is around the corner..Do not know where I will live but my spirit will show me the exact spot....I just know it!.The mothership got all her lubricants drained and refilled in California and she runs life a powerful, sleek animal..New Energy, New Life Awaits!!

Getting Back to THE MOUNTAINS!!!!

Hey there! How are you this wonderful morning? I realize it has been an extremely long time since I have written in here..I have been crazy busy "couch surfing" ! The trip from Vegas to Arizona presented a wonderful opportunity! I planned on staying with my friends in Cave Creek while I was there. They ended up inviting me to go with them to their place in Colorado for a week! So, I no sooner arrived in Arizona then headed there with them. At 8000 feet elevation the beauty of the mountains, snow and all the wildlife I saw was BREATHTAKING,.... literally and figuratively! My room in the cabin was great and I was able to try out my new "hotspot" from Sprint that gives me wireless ANYWHERE. !!! Nifty little devise and will be a perfect little addition to the blogging family of tools that are needed to "blog from the road"....The smell of the fire. The good food we made each day and the conversation was wonderful! We went snowmobiling and I really loved going back to Telluride for some shopping. It is a wonderful little town with great little shops and restaurants. I was able to find some great goodies and get some more ideas for The Blast From the Past Store! Grandson, Wyatt scored a groovey "Get Back on the Bike" type of jacket that I found in a shop there.
It was his Christmas present and when I saw it I knew it was meant for him...!

So I would have to say the best part of the trip for me by far was seeing all the wildlife and staying at the cabin and being with wonderful friends....Seriously.... We saw so many, many different kinds of wildlife and animals all around us. The topper was the Eagle that we saw. I was not able to get a pic of that but "oh well"  Here are some pictures!!!!  I LOVE NATURE. It  makes me happy and the CONNECTION I feel when I am in it......calms me and connects me to ME.

Ok so there you go! I will write more later and maybe make one of those Smile box videos again... as I had more adventures back in Arizona and Sedona...and a trip over to California with friends in Laguna Beach...but for now I am sitting here in Sacramento...it is 9:50 in the morning on Wednesday the 26th of January and I am getting ready to hop back in the Mothership and drive the last leg of my trip to Portland and start the new life!!!!! See where spirit takes me!
Have some contacts I will see about where to hang my hat and be in the flow for what is to come!!!

Gettin' Back to Posting 1st Day of New Year!!

Soooooo! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Years Eve! It is now New Years Day and 2011!!!! I thought it best to start out the day right and update the blog!

Grahooovin!!!!  So much has happened since posting the slideshow below, about the messages I found in Portland! While I was working in Portland, I would occasionally look on Craigslist for apartments to rent, but I just wasn't feeling the vibe... the timing wasn't right to commit - ya know? (Gotta pay close attention to those feelings!!!)..A great thing happened though, before I came down here! I WAS able to bring my things down to Oregon and not have to leave them in Seattle!  Yeah!!!!!   A WAY opened up and I took them out of the storage unit and put them in my friends garage, She lives in Beaverton and that worked out perfect! So anyway, I respected this feeling about not getting a place yet...and decided it best to just make my way south. Christmas with my family would be at my mom's in Las Vegas.  I also wanted to take some time after Christmas to go to Phoenix to be with my daughter, her love and my grandson,  and see my friends . With all that on the plate,  the idea of actually settling seems far away, but I will move with what my heart is telling me..So I drove BACK down  to Vegas some 1300 miles,,,,,totaling now to about 5000 miles traveled since mid November and had a wonderful time with my family and my son and his girlfriend. I also had a wonderful "GET BACK" time with my friend Silvia, whom I met in Vegas some 13 years ago, when I we were doing interior designe work together at a local store! Wow! We spent the day together at "The Spa" at The Red Rock Resort where I was staying!  We talked each others ears off while we worked out,,,and enjoyed the incredible spa! Had some lunch and what a wonderful time to catch up on a very special friendship. She and her husband will always be great friends!  Jash and Sheva and I spent our Christmas together in their beautiful hotel room and downstairs at the Terra Rossa for dinner and afterwords reminiscing at a place called The Onyx Bar.. BEST OF ALL for me  was being able  to give them a present I had been wanting to give them for TWO YEARS!!! Tickets to The Beatles- Love. CIRQUE DU SOLEIL...They went on Monday night Dec, 27th night and I snapped some great photo's of them while they were opening the gift on Christmas! Jash got Sheva the most incredible vintage opera binoc's from Paris, France, as I gave him prior knowledge of their Christmas present.

I asked Jash what he wanted for Christmas this year and he said " Oh, just peace on earth mom..." so I made this....

Headed now to Portland ...My job is over here and we are all move to our next location.. ........Packing up the Stuff..!

Turns out, as I was headed here from Vegas, I ran into that bad weather, in the Oregon mountains..I had plans to get there and  drop off ALL MY STUFF.... that I brought, to move to Portland, at my friends house. WELLLLL,,,,,,there was another idea in the works..I did not have enough time to get my things to Portland and be in Seattle at the time I was needed soooooo...I was a little ticked off by it all....but, since I know this is one of my areas...of taking me out of the "happy vortex", I LET GO and SURRENDERED..

I rented a storage unit in Seattle.

Put my stuff in it.

Will keep it up here until I find a place.

You see, I cannot take it all to Portland now, because I am a driver and am driving someone else to Portland..that is part of my job-in the work I am doing here to make the bacon.

There is NO ROOM IN THE CAR for his things and mine and all the other stuff too.!

Oh well, I got the storage place for a dollar.

Yes, ONE DOLLAR for this month.

We will see where this is taking me.

For now, the stuff is to be left in Seattle.

Hummm.

P.S. I am getting a bit tired of moving around. Oh, sorry...I embrace moving around. (forgot)

Well, I made it to Seattle on Monday...getting here presented more challenges while coming through the mountains of Oregon. The cold temps and ice was still staring me in the face. I stayed in a small town called Baker and woke up to 1 degree temperatures. YEAH!!!! Oh well, I had all the winter garb, as any cold, old hippy would !!!!   I loaded myself up, once again, cranked up the radio and headed west for Seattle. I have  work in Seattle and will also be spreadin' the word about the power- balance bracelets too!!!..A nice finish to the trip was coming into King County, It was Heaven!! I really was blown away by all the beautiful trees and nature! Ski country and just right outside Seattle, to the east. Gorgeous  !!  I have added more pictures coming across Oregon..Burrr!..Once I finish the job in Seattle a week later I will be Portland bound to work there... Plan on taking two days and check out the spaces and places in the downtown area that may have old hippy chic's name written all over it. I am ready to land, just not sure if that is in the plan yet,,,!!! Flyin by the seat of my spirit, I send you love, peace and good vibes today!

Well Source delivered quickly...of course...I checked into my room,, changed my clothes, took myself out to dinner and guess what I saw? A sign that says NORDSTOMS..at the largest mall in Washington. 3 blocks away.
I went to go take a peek ...
